Dnes vám prinášame podcast, ktorý pre nás pripravil Blake Andrew, americký producent elektronickej hudby a DJ, pochádzajúci z mesta Kalamazoo v štáte Michigan, ktoré sa nachádza priamo na polceste medzi Chicagom a Detroitom. Blake vydával hudbu nezávisle a na labeloch Wave Signal Records (Holandsko) a Amphiboly Records (Detroit). Jeho vášeň pre elektronickú hudbu a djing sa začala koncom 90-tych rokov navštevovaním undergroundových parties v Detroite, ktorý je stále jeho hlavným zdrojom inšpirácie a vplyvu. Od tohto času sa venuje zbieraniu platní, DJingu, podporuje eventy a zdokonaľuje svoje schopnosti. Ako zakladateľ Dj Frequencies, undergroundového techno blogu, podcastu a Dj kolektívu, podporuje undergroundových umelcov a podujatia už viac ako 15 rokov. Jeho produkcia sa opiera o ťažké, hypnotické techno a atmosferickú elektronickú hudbu, je silno ovplyvnená prvkami dub techna, elektra a acidu. Jeho Dj sety siahajú od deep housu až po peak techno.

Today’s podcast we present to you was made by Blake Andrew, american electronic music producer and DJ hailing from Kalamazoo, Michigan, directly halfway between Chicago and Detroit. He has released music independently and on labels Wave Signal Records (Netherlands) and Amphiboly Records (Detroit). His passion for electronic music and Djing began in the late ’90s attending underground warehouse parties in Detroit, still a major source of inspiration and influence. He has been collecting records, Djing, supporting events, and honing his craft ever since. As the founder of Djfrequencies, an underground techno blog, podcast, and Dj collective, he has supported underground artists and events for over 15 years. His productions lean on heavy, hypnotic techno and spatial electronic music, with influences and lineage from dub techno, electro, and acid. His Dj sets range from deep house to peak-hour techno.
Blake himself describes this podcast as follows: “This mix encompasses music from producers who have inspired, and continue to inspire, my productions and dj style. I incorporate classic tracks along with some newer releases from techno artists I’ve respected for ages, while also peppering in a few new artists along with some tracks off my latest EP, ‘Quarry.’ I hope this mix of records produces inspiration for the listener as it has for me. “
